I honestly didn’t know this was a cover for the first like year I listened to it. I didn’t really know about Porter Robinson outside of the guy who made shelter because it had the cool anime music video. I think the first time I found it was a cover was when I was driving, I used to really like listening to this cover because if you turn the bass all the way up it sounds like an active warzone in the car from all the bass in the drops. One time I asked it to play Sad Machine and I just didn’t add by six impala at the end and the Porter Robinson one played. I was thinking oh I know of that guy I wonder what this song with the same name sounds like and then I heard the ‘is anyone there’ in a a different voice just like this song.

Maybe it’s because I am just used to it but I think NEUTRA’s vocaloid voice lends pretty nicely to the idea of the song as she sounds a bit more machine like than the other vocaloid in my opinion and I prefer it without the drums there and I really like the insane bass on the six impala drops.
