I’m heading up to my cottage right now and this song came up in the music rotation. A couple weeks ago I watched the music video for this song which is weird because I think if I was looking back on it I would say it was one of the most memorable radio song from when I was younger. But I did find out from watching that video that Martin Solvig is a DJ which I do think the reason I look back so fondly because it was probably the first pop song that I’ve heard that had such EDM like production.

I think this song has stuck with me because the beat is so recognizable and I feel like it was everywhere when I was young due to CANCON I think (I think Dragonette is Canadian). I showed my brother the song again and he said he instantly recognized it from the beat which is crazy for a song that he probably only heard when he was younger than 4.

Looking back as a song, it think its pretty whatever but it’s important to me and thats all that matters
