Review:

Out of any song I’ve ever listened to I think this one has shaped my music taste the most. I don’t remember how old I was but when I was younger we had about 20 different music videos on iTunes and the Client Eastwood one was one of the ones I watched the most (probably tied with Lonley Islands - I’m On A Boat which explains the other half of me). I think that maybe the visuals were a big motivator for me but I think that it was also close to the type of music I heard a lot on the radio and I think also the cool people did help. After I started listening to my own music I kinda forgot about Gorillaz but the song still remained stuck in my head until I think the song Sleeping Powder came into my rdio feed and it reminded me of them. After hearing that I was able to find the song I heard when I was young and now we are here where its 2:30am, and its so important to me that I write a review for this specific version of the song because it means so much to me, so I had to rewrite my entire database pull script just so I could see the featured artists because the fucking Ed Case remix has the exact same name.

My third tattoo I got was this thing russel going bish bosh

isn’t it crazy that hating imagine dragons can get you images

when I was in Italy with my friend that likes Gorillaz and I half wanted to remember that and half just needed another tattoo idea so I could keep my one per place I visited rule and it’s crazy that I have this just because my dad bought the Clint Eastwood music video on iTunes. In another life I might have a banana tattoo to signify my deep love of Hollaback Girl (another video we had).

On the song itself, the only thing I think about when I hear it is that the outro is always longer than you think. But I think it’s one of the classic Gorillaz songs for a reason. I really like the zombie gorillas in the music video and I think of them everytime I hear it. I think this song was also my first real introduction to rap music at all since I was pretty young still.
