Review:

I know it’s not fully the same but this song reminds me of you don’t even know who I am by underscores, maybe I only connect the two artists so closely because I saw torr open for her and that’s how I found out about him but these two songs have the same vibe. The repeating sample of words and the track lyrics being a kinda sad song about wanted to be wanted by a specific person. They are in very different contexts as songs but the ideas are there.

When I saw torr live, he played this song and I think most of the people there hadn’t heard it because this album had just came out around then and there’s this part where there is a really tense buildup where the backing sample speeds up and up and people started jumping getting hype thinking the song was going to get faster but it just kinda fades out after and seeing the room tense up like that and just be let down was very funny to see. To be completely fair to them I thought the same thing when I listen for the first time I just had heard the song before.

I do think this song is pretty good, it’s probably one of my favourite songs from the album and I think it’s his least hyperpoppy production songs that I like. Like this one is kinda odd in the backing vocals being there but its not too crazy like some of his other songs.
